Students dialogued with students from around the world about self image, air quality, domestic abuse and how it effects peoples levels of happiness. Students used Distance Video Conferencing (Polycom) technology to communicate with each other. Their ideas were read to a panel of experts on the subject at the United Nations in NYC.
Students become leaders by opening up discussions with one another about topics put forth by the United Nations. This open dialogue that is created allows students to gain a mutual respect for each other. Together these shared ideas can create a better world where all people are respected. By experts from the UN reading and commenting on their work, brings validation to the importance of this conference.
