Mrs. Christina Rivera – Campus Ministry and Music
609-561-8700 ext. 104
It is the mission of the Campus Ministry program to help all members of the Saint Joseph community develop and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. We provide opportunities for growth in faith and spiritual development to live the joy of the Gospel. We seek to do this through providing opportunities for worship, sacraments and faith sharing as well as adoration, retreats and service opportunities. Our ultimate goal is for each student to have a thriving spiritual life. We aim to collaborate with students, parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and pastors to reach this goal. Our students are the future of the Church, and the future leaders of our society.
With this goal in mind, we have the following programs and activities for our students throughout the year:
We have at least one school-wide liturgy per month, and the students take a leading role in all aspects of the liturgy.
We have adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every first Friday of the month where students and teachers can sign-up for 15 minute slots to get away for a few quiet minutes with our Lord.
In addition to optional service opportunities throughout the year, we have days of service for Freshmen and Sophomores. We believe that it is very important to instill the importance of serving those less fortunate to our students.
We have Advent and Lenten Penance services in addition to confession every first Friday.
We will be having two Kairos retreats per year. Kairos is a retreat that can positively transform the lives of those who attend it.
We attend the March for Life in Washington, DC, as well as other pro-life events. We believe in the value and dignity of every human life.
RCIA (for Teens)
Students who have not yet completed their sacraments have the opportunity to prepare while at school. We are happy to help facilitate students to receive Baptism, First Communion or Confirmation at their Parish.
